Students of Delhi Public School, Ambala participated enthusiastically in activities conducted on the festival of Rakshabandhan, a symbol of love between siblings. All Dipsites tried their best to sustain the importance of this age- old festival.A short movie on historical and religious aspect of Rakshabandhan was watched by the students.A workshop on how to make and decorate Rakhi was conducted by the art teacher Ms.Neeru. Small children displayed their tender feelings of love by filling beautiful colors in the pictures of the Rakhis and decorating Rakhis. Junior wing students created beautiful Rakshasutras and cards for their brothers and sisters and wrote messages of prayers for longevity of their lives. Senior students also highlighted the importance of their younger or elder siblings in their lives through speeches. They experienced the joy of sharing their thoughts while recalling many childhood incidents. Ms. Kanika Gupta Vice Principal of the school wished everyone on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan. She urged to value the pure relationship between brothers and sisters and to celebrate the festival in full spirit with reverence. She suggested to maintain sweetness in this relationship throughout life by investing little care and time for each other.
